Trading is high risk

Trading gold, bitcoin, forex and other leveraged products such as contracts for difference (CFDs) carries a high level of risk. Leverage can work against you as well as for you, and you can lose money very quickly. Most retail traders who trade CFDs lose money. Cryptocurrencies are highly volatile and largely unregulated in the UK.

Only trade with money you can afford to lose. Think carefully about whether trading is right for you, and seek independent advice from a qualified professional if you’re unsure.

Past results

The results in my journal are my real results, but past performance is not a reliable guide to future results. A small number of trades proves nothing, and my results may not be typical. Screenshots and figures may contain mistakes, which I’ll correct when I find them.

The calculators and clocks on this site are provided for convenience and may contain errors. Always check contract sizes, spreads and costs with your own broker before trading.
