Rebar worker, dad of two, and a trader starting from the basics

I left the UK young to work as a rebar fixer in Australia and Canada. Hard graft, in all weathers, and slowly wrecking my body. Travelling showed me what I really wanted: freedom.

That search took me to Thailand, and I never wanted to leave. I taught myself online marketing, built a business that worked, married my Thai wife and we had two kids. For 12 years we lived the dream: a home we built ourselves and a comfortable life.

Then things changed fast. AI arrived, my business dried up, and two years ago I had to close it. I moved back to the UK, alone, and went back on the tools as a rebar worker while my wife and kids stayed in Thailand.

I didn't give up. My brother and I started our own construction company. In its first year it turned over almost £500k, won some big jobs and partnered with another firm. It's not easy, but it's growing.

My goal is simple: get back to my family in Thailand, running the business from there, with trading as a second income. I've dabbled in trading for years. I've spent thousands on courses and signal groups, and got scammed more than once chasing a dream that wasn't real.

So I've stopped all that. No signals, no YouTube gurus. Back to basics: manual trading, simple levels and small risk, logged here every single day.

I'm sharing it because trading isn't a shiny shortcut. It's real work and consistency. I want to show you can do it alongside a full-time job. I'll be trading the evening session after work, Monday to Friday, and the Asian, London and New York sessions whenever I can.

Every trade goes in the journal, wins and losses, with the plan made before the session and an honest review after.
